MOVEMENT MAGAZINE has been tirelessly supporting the underground music, arts, and clubs scene in Jacksonville, FL and the Southeast consistently for well over a decade. With a distinct lack of local independent music support (particularly for the Dark Alternative scene) MOVEMENT publisher Max Michaels created FREQUENCIES as an outlet to assist, support and publicize the undiscovered works of handpicked local talent. The first FREQUENCIES signing in 2000 was the Industrial powerhouse ELARA followed quickly by introducing the world to the unique sounds of Batsauce. Since then MOVEMENT FREQUENCIES has signed on four new artists who all have deep roots in the local scene. Through their work with the label these artists have to date released 3 albums, 2 EP’s, and a LEFTOVERSOUND track included on a nationally released DJ mix compilation by DJ RIB (Romell of Razed In Black) on Cleopatra Records.
